Department of Occupational Therapy

The Acting Creates Therapeutic Success (A.C.T.S.) program at UCA was developed in 1997 by Dr. Cathy Acre and Dr. Jennifer Johnson of the Department of Occupational Therapy.

The goal of the program is to provide a creative outlet where people with disabilities can develop learning skills, nurture independence and self-worth and enhance well being.

The Conway Chamber of Commerce focuses on enhancing the economic quality of life through leadership and the development of innovative and relevant services to create and maintain an enriched business climate.


The AmeriCorps volunteer program provides volunteers the opportunity to get involved with individuals participating in programs offered at Independent Living Services. Here at Independent  Living Services, volunteers and consumers use their talents, passions, and gifts to encourage, bolster, and inspire one another.

The mission of the Developmental Disabilities Provider Association is to strengthen the abilities of community-based programs to meet the developmental and special health related needs of people who have disabilities, delays or potential delays. The Association works to ensure individuals and families have equal access to a comprehensive array of services and supports which are individual and/or family centered, recognize best practices, foster collaborative partnerships, and are built upon mutual respect and choice.



NISH is a national nonprofit agency whose mission is to create employment opportunities for people with severe disabilities by securing Federal contracts through the AbilityOne Program for its network of community-based, nonprofit agencies.
