Consumer vacations in Cozumel, Mexico

Cherry, a consumer at Independent Living Services, recently went on a 4-day cruise on the Carnival Ecstasy that set sail out of Galveston on August 11.

According to her adult companion, Cherry enjoyed eating shrimp and a variety of other foods.  She also watched a country music show and attended a deck party.  Cherry is pictured above shopping with her adult companion Rene Rains in Cozumel, Mexico.

ILS board member honored at 34th Annual Community Service Awards

Independent Living Services would like to congratulate Mr. Charles Nabholz, a long-time board member, on receiving the Distinguished Citizen Award at the 34th Annual Community Service Awards.

“We are pleased Charles has devoted his volunteer time to Independent Living Services. Through his support and work on the board, ILS has grown tremendously during his tenure. Charles volunteers for a number of community organizations. At each he devotes himself and his resources,” said Executive Director Jackie Fliss. “Conway is lucky to have such a devoted philanthropist. Congratulations, Charles Nabholz.”
