Music Instructor Cassie Nalley was recently awarded the Instructor of the Year Award at Profiles Enrichment Center.

Established in 2006, the award recognizes instructors who go above and beyond in the classroom and demonstrate extraordinary leadership and communication skills.
Voting for the annual award is strictly limited to consumers who attend Profiles Enrichment Center, the adult development program at Independent Living Services.
According to Day Services Director Kathy Weatherl, Lackey has taken the Music class to another level.
“She’s very much about meeting the needs of the consumers by incorporating things they enjoy doing into her lesson plans. Her creativity allows her to always figure out a way to make it fun.”
In less than a year, Lackey has taken the Music class to new heights by integrating dance, movement, and solos into Profiles Christmas Choir performances. In fact, the Profiles Christmas Choir was so popular that local organizations and civic clubs started calling to book performances.
She didn’t stop there. Shortly after the Profiles Christmas Choir concluded their tour of Conway Lackey began planning a theater performance, the Wizard of Oz – Profiles Style. Since then she has managed all aspects of auditions, casting and rehearsals.
The Wizard of Oz – Profiles Style will be held Saturday, May 21 in the Burgess Auditorium in the Cooper Complex (campus map) on the campus of Central Baptist College in Conway.
