Golf Ball Drop

The Golf Ball Drop is an annual event organized by Independent Living Services, the purpose of which is to raise funds, awareness, and foster partnerships between Independent Living Services and surrounding businesses in the community. Every year, golf balls are made available to the public for purchase through donations. These balls are given a number which corresponds to the purchasers receipt number. On the day of the drop, these balls are dropped from a hot air balloon over a target hole. The owner of the ball that lands in or closest to the target hole wins a cash amount.

This event has provided ILS with over $60,000 in donations over the past five years and continues to help Independent Living Services match grants and other opportunities that make transportation, housing, employment, as well as other programs possible that are offered to our consumers.

Christmas Fund

Past donations have enabled many of our needy consumers to receive presents during the Christmas holiday. Your donation could make a tremendous impact.

Take Dean, for example. To say the least, he was in desperate need of new furniture. The furniture in his home was not only extremely outdated, but borderline dilapidated as well. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters in 2009, Dean now enjoys coming home to a brand new furniture.

No matter the size of your donation, your generosity will be greatly appreciated by the consumer who receives your gift.

Greeting Cards

By far the best way to display your support of Independent Living Services to friends and family. All artwork is created by our consumers in our art program at Profiles Enrichment Center.

Although we sell the majority of our cards during the holiday season, greeting cards are available year-round.

We are currently working towards uploading a large amount of artwork to the website.
