Profiles Enrichment Center, established in 1996, is a day program that provides our consumers with  opportunities to continue their education either in a classroom environment or in a pre-vocational setting.

Through daily instruction and guidance in a wide range of topics, Profiles Enrichment Center offers the supports necessary for our consumers to not only succeed in the community but to achieve an independent lifestyle as well.

All classrooms, meeting areas and bathrooms are handicap accessible. All efforts are made to accommodate our consumers’ physical, personal care, communication, and behavior support needs.

Consumer Council

The Consumer Council is consists of seven individuals who attend Profiles Enrichment Center. Members of the Consumer Council are elected by those attending the  program and serve as representatives for everyone receiving services. The purpose of the Consumer Council is to make suggestions and recommendations on ways to improve services offered by Profiles Enrichment Center and Profiles Productions.

Focus areas for the Consumer Council include:

providing input on classes offered, class activities and outside speakers

providing input on extra curricular activities, field trips, volunteer activities, etc.

offering solutions to problems and concerns

improving communication between individuals served and others

focusing on rights and self-advocacy

reviewing materials such as handbooks, rules, forms, etc. to assure they are understandable for individuals receiving services

Transportation

Transportation is provided to and from Profiles Enrichment Center for those who cannot provide their own.

Medication Monitoring

Our full time Registered Nurse (RN) safely stores and properly distributes all prescribed medications according to the pharmacist’s directions. Staff both supervise and monitor individuals as they take their medications. Over the counter medications are obtained from the Registered Nurse (RN) on duty.

Lunch

A lunch meal is provided to all who attend Profiles Enrichment Center. An individual may bring his or her own lunch if desired. Refrigerators and microwaves are provided.

Emergency Evacuation Drills

Fire and tornado drills are held monthly. Earthquake, violence in the workplace, natural disaster and nuclear disaster drills are held or discussed on a quarterly basis.

Inclement Weather Policy

Profiles Enrichment Center follows the Conway Public Schools policy for closure.
